My name is JOY. I thought my mother named me Joy because I brought a certain amount of happiness into her life. But I'm starting to wonder if JOY stands for Just Organize Yourself!
Organization has become much more than a hobby for me- it is a way of life. Organization has transformed a hectic, frenzied, “can’t find anything” home into a mostly peaceful living space; filled with love, learning and accomplishment.
I believe that with effort and determination, anyone can get organized. As new habits are formed, homes are easily and effectively managed, goals are reached and daily life is treasured. I have seen it work over and over again for people in various circumstances.
So come enjoy the journey and let’s calm the chaos together, one step at a time.
I did a google image search for "mount washmore" which is a flylady term I used before. It adequately describes my day today. I am still in the middle of cleaning up a mount washmore of clean laundry as well as dirty that becomes clean making two clean mountains to cope with.
That's how I found your site. I recognize a lot of familiar flylady terms, but there are things you do that are slightly different as well. I actually just dedicated a corner of my tiny diningroom (apartment living.. how fun!) as "my corner office", and have a binder I'm wanting to create a household "manual" in... so when I started reading here, I just laughed.. I'm well on my way to this very system without knowing it, but this is so nice to read! You have so many good articles! I've been sharing them on facebook all day as I take breaks from my laundry folding.
I'm definitely going to be following along and learning. My mother was one of those naturally organized type of people, and I've realized I'm not her. My life is often chaotic with hubby working fulltime and going to school full time, and 3 little boys (ages 7, 5, and 2). We could do with more space, but that's not how life is while hubby does school. Therefore to the organizing I go!
