Go to get the glue, see a pile of towels that needs to go upstairs,
Grab the pile and head upstairs, see a receipt that needs to be recorded.
Head toward the computer, see a smudge on the hanging mirror,
Go to the cleaning closet to get the spray, ...and on it on it goes.
Sound familiar?
Notice NOTHING got accomplished:
Dishes NOT done, Towels NOT put away, Receipt NOT recorded, Mirror NOT clean.
If we spend our days going from one task to another,
we go to bed frustrated, overwhelmed and still behind!
So what's the answer?
Make a plan, and stick to it!
Here's what I (strive to) do:
EACH evening I make a plan for the next day using
THIS daily planning card or
THIS weekly planning form
Here are a few additional planning pages from blogworld:
Simple Mom's Daily Docket:
Project Girl's Planner
My Nifty Life's Daily Planner
Today's Challenge:
Create a PLAN for the day and STICK to it!
Then then create a habit by continuing daily!

I can be soo guilty of this! multi tasking is not helpful when it doesn't help you complete one task. I've been working on this discipline of keeping on task.
I just blame on my lack of finishing on My ADD. I have big plans and get alot started. Thank you for a simple reminder of how useless multi-tasking can be sometime.
What a great idea!! I am going to try the daily cards. . . .(I am plagued by the distractedness something terrible). :)
first of all I love your blog, very helpful. Second of all Im very glad you touched on this subject because I always feel like i dont get anything done although i am constatntly doing stuff all day! Making a plan is a good idea that i definately need to start implementing.
Nice blog work. I came across your blog while “blog surfing” using the Next Blog button on the blue Nav Bar located at the top of my blogger.com site. I frequently just travel around looking for other blogs which exist on the Internet, and the various, creative ways in which people express themselves. Thanks for sharing.
