I came across this site today. Check it out - it has a whole section on menu planning. She says that it's easy to get a bunch of free shampoos with couponing, but she promises to help you cut your grocery bill WAY down! I can't wait to listen to it on my little trip this weekend.
Click on the pic, if your interested, it's on sale TODAY ONLY for $10.00. (usually $24)
I just got mine - I can't wait to check out the rock bottom price list - I've been trying to create my own - but now I don't have to wait! :-)
What do think about COUPONING?

Ugh, I used to love couponing and I saved a bundle, but it is definitely time consuming and I just don't have the time for it anymore. I just bought boxes from Angel Food Ministries for the first time this month, so we will see how that goes in saving us money.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, it is always great to meet a fellow mom of 4 boys LOL.
I can't figure out what site you're talking about. . .maybe the link didn't work?
I am a fledgling couponer. I have them clipped and organized. Now I just need to remember to take the darn things to the store!
Also, none of our area grocery stores send circulars so I'm trying to figure out an alternate way of routinely knowing what is on sale.
Michelle - Try the link one more time. I'm not sure what happened. But if you can't get it - it's just http://groceryuniversity.com/.
Good luck with the couponing - I know what you mean about remembering to bring them to the store - I have the same problem.
:-)
Kathleen - I've heard about Angel Food Ministries - I'm going to check that out! Thanks for the reminder! Everything helps -three of my four boyz are teenagers!!!
I've found that couponing is more effective in some areas of the country than in others. In Ohio I was able to get some fabulous coupon deals (some stores did double coupons, etc.). But when I moved the stores were different and it was harder to get good deals. I should show you my old coupon box sometime!!!!
One more thing....I still use coupons (I keep them in an envelope in my purse). Sometimes I look through them quickly before going into the grocery store, to remind myself of the coupons that I have. Sometimes my Mom sends coupons to me.
I love couponing, but I go in spurts when I can't keep up with it. I finally gave myself permission to throw out the Sunday coupons if I hadn't found time to clip them by trash day on Tuesday. That made such a HUGE difference for me. There will always be more coupons and sales, and my current mission in life is to DEclutter, not pile more things into my house!
my baby is 9... tried... can't do it. I'll cheer for you though. Go Joy!!
haha-- my baby is 8...lol...see? I can't even keep my kids ages straight. Couponing is waaaaay out of the question!
Joy I just found out about your blog. NICE! Sista!!! LOL So now I will really get into your life. ;)
I'm not very good at using coupons. Probably the ones I have used the most are for diapers. :) But just doing a meal plan has saved me tons! Our RS just did a "Food Nanny to the Rescue" night which helped a bunch. Now I have more recipes to add to my meal planning stash.
I use www.southernsavers.com and she does all the work for you and it's.......FREE!
