My cute boy gets easily distracted, (especially before school).
He loves to hide and play - and because he plays soooo quietly,
sometimes I don't figure it out until it's almost time to leave for school.
To avoid ...

I've devised come up with a plan to help him focus on his morning routine.
My plan is to print his job chart on cardstock (business card size),
attach it onto a lanyard with a pen, and let him wear it around his neck.
As he completes each job, he'll check it off. At the end of the week,
he'll have a chance earn extra privileges depending on the amount of completed jobs

Do you think it will work?
What are you doing to prepare for the before school rush?

My daughter has a chore chart she does for her routines too and the cool thing I did is if you go to staples they will laminate it! Each page is $1 then you can use dry erase marker on it and you won't have to print it every week! It works for me. I also bought magnets and put it on the fridge that way I can keep track of how long each thing takes her to do because I keep the marker so it doesn't get everywhere!
Go Aaron! You can do it!

You have an excellent task chart for your kid... Morning rush is already normal for households who have kids. Indeed kids are so playful so giving them responsibilities may teach them to slow down some time. Fixing their bed is their very first task.
I need a chart like that for myself! Maybe I should print it backwards and stick it to my forehead! LOL!
So how is this working now that it has been a little while?
I LOVE your blog, by the way. I found you on Swagbucks!
I've been to your blog a few times now, way before I even started blogging. I love your tips and ideas for making my home more organized... it's uplifting! Keep up the good work.
Hi Joy, I am in the middle of a major overhaul. Well, trying any way. Just wondering if this really worked for very long. (the job chart hanging from the neck idea....)
The hanging from the neck idea didn't last too long...but the little check-off sheet worked amazing and lasted all year!
