Bedroom Zone this Week

The typical jewelry boxes never worked for me -
so I had to come up with my own versions.

I have this little guy hung up on my closet wall - no more un-tangling those chains!

Here's another idea from "organized junkie":

For years I used egg cartons -(ice cube trays also work great!) My sweet hubby surprised me last Christmas by making these custom jewelry boxes that fit right in my drawer! I've also seen this type at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. How do you store your jewelry?

joy - i can not believe that you posted about this. i have been trying to figure out what i could do with my necklace. right now they live in a tangled mess in a basket under my counter. it is NOT working to say the least. the tie rack (?) is a great idea. i am assuming that is what it is. thanks for the ah ha moment!

Is the first one pictured homemade or a bought rack of some sort?

Hi Gals - the top little rack is a tie rack. I bought it from Lowes a couple years ago. I've also seen some like that at Target. It has worked out great for me.

When we bought our grown-up furniture (after Cliff got his "career" job) we bought a dresser that had the built in jewelry liners. So my jewelry is organized in there.

i store my many earrings on a plastic stand so i can see them and pic the ones i want each morning wheni dress. my necklaces are similar except the two stands aren't quite dong the job. I was fumbling with my nacklace hanger stnad today and getting frustrated with it. it is cute but way too flimsy and falls over when i try to get a necklace off, casueing the rest to tangle. ergggh. i was dreaming up a better way to store them and was thinking of something very similar to what you have done. i will let you know how it goes when i get to making it.

please check out my blog sometime, you are one of the folks who have inspired mme to blog and i have been blogging my dee-cluttering.
